Well, yes it will be an infinite loop, but I wouldn't say it was the way to write one deliberately. It's more like something that would happen accidentally when you wanted to loop 20 times, but accidentally altered the loop control variable, i, inside the loop.
Edit: You added the 2nd loop while I was replying
and
for (i=0; i<20; i*20)
printf("modicication...");
It looks like it to me, because the body decrements the 0 to -1, then the third expression increments -1 back to 0, and this keeps going on and on.
The second example will also continue to print also, because i=0, and 0*anything is always 0. Both infinite loops?
It is also an infinite loop, but not for the reason you state. You are calculating i*20, but not storing it anywhere, so I will stay 0. If you'd started with i=1 and had that i*20, i would still stay at 1 because you're not increasing it anywhere.

I'm thinking about selling a new unlocked refurb Iphone still in box (taken out to unlock). What would it go for on MR? Is $375 too much? Is craigslist a better option?

Interested in any trades?
Also, I live in WV, so it would have to be shipped.
Thanks!
Unfortunately, no :(

Recently I've started getting Safari Windows with just ads, something I used to hate on Windows.
What's the best free Malware scanner for Mac?
Thanks
Safari on OS X reminds me of IE on Windows. I suggest you run a different browser like Chrome or Firefox. Chrome is not as adept at blocking ads as Firefox. As for pages full of ads popping up in Safari, you can disable popups and even disable javascript if you like. Also I seem to remember there is a version of Adblock for Safari. Whatever you do, do NOT leave Safari's "automatically open safe files" switched on! There is very little malware out for OS X, but just within the last few days I heard of one that relied on people running Safari from an Admin account with "automatically open safe files" switched on. The symptom is you got a popup claiming to have found viruses and asking for your credit card to buy some sort of malware protection. It turns you would not be buying anything but you would be giving your credit card to phishers. As for the malware the so called software said it found, there is no such thing. The software that says it found the malware is one of the very few examples of OS X malware in the wild right now.
Never pay for antivirus software for OS X, even from Symantec or McAffee. If you must have antivirus software for peace of mind, I suggest the freeware ClamxAV.

HI,
I can't seem to get my mac running on a cat 5 cable! any help?
Post a little more info please.
Kind of mac and what are you trying to do?
DSL/Cable modem directly to Mac?
DSL/Cable modem to router?
Double check inside the ports of mac and cable box that none of the wires are bent.
Not enough info to help:-)

I have and Iphone 3g, with the latest ipsw installed by Itunes 10 (should be 4.2.1)
In order for me to downgrade I have to put my phone into DFU mode which has been difficult, but through Google I found a forum post that said redsnow will put your phone into DFU mode, you just need the exact ipsw to start the redsnow process...
I have downloaded 4.2.1 but redsnow doesn't recognize it, any idea what could be wrong?

Hi all
I am constructing a Web page in Dreamweaver CS4 and I have placed the banner and buttons on the side. How does one insert a scrolling text area in the centre of the page? For a noob like me, because when I try to do it it places one in between or under a button and not where I want it.
Thanks again for any input. :D
David
I'm assuming that you mean you just created a blank HTML page and then inserted a banner graphic and then some "buttons" without any CSS or table elements.
You will need either CSS or a Table to hold the banner and the buttons and the text area if you want to have anything other than just a stack of elements running down the left side of the page. Dreamweaver has a number of predefined templates you can play around with when you create a new page.

HI,
is there any particular reason that apple doesn't want these two situation happen?
I mean,
Any reason they might not want OS X run on all PCs, and any reason they might not want XP run on apple hardwares?

Well, I'm a good way into Episode 1, and I am actually really enjoying it. :)
Once you get past the control scheme (point'n'click would have worked much better!), there's actually a real Monkey Island game to be enjoyed here. The humor isn't as obnoxious as I had feared from the demo, it's actually really fun!

I'm not really sure if it is. When accessed from my Powerbook, the drive makes all sorts of weird noises, and takes forever to mount and transfer stuff. From my girlfriends Mac Mini, though, it's really fast. I'm thinking it may just be the fact that the Powerbook only has USB 1.1 (I think), and the Mini has 2.0, but I dunno.

I've tried all of them as well, and they're all slow, buggy and/or unstable.
I tried connecting the PS3 and Mac server via Ethernet, and was surprised just how slow the media browsing was even then.
The best experience I've had was with Rivet - streams to 360, PS3 and iOS devices; except the latest version crashes for me so I'm back to looking for a reliable option again. :o

I really like using Increase because it gives me readily available information on what's going on without opening the terminal and having to remember any esoteric commands.

Seriously - you tout Macs on your work place the way that JWs try to convert people? Or is it your colleagues who try to make you throw your Mac out the window the way they are tempted to do with their computers?
Haha, nope. Its interesting, the fact that they know you do, is all the ammo they need. I usually laugh it off though. " I can build a PC, and make it so much cheaper and faster, than an over priced out of data mac pro." or " Alienware... nuff said"
No I do not tout Apple at work like a JW going door to door, again, simply them knowing what you use at home, is all they need or care about and its on. I have always held a position.. to each's own.
Assuming the latter case is the fact: It would be interesting to know which OS your colleagues use. If they use Windows, you can tell them that if they want to be elitist, they should at least use Linux. And if they already use Linux, you can tell them to use real UNIX instead of the clone (Mac OS X is BSD).
Most use Windows 7 and a good few use varies Linux OS.
P.S. Nothing against JW's. ;-)
Wake up roadbloc! lol
