How did that happen?
Remember your keys -- 'c' 'option' and 'command + option + shift + delte' all mean boot off of CD.
Take Paul's advice also.
If not it might be a firmware problem Command + O + F
The blinking folder means it can't find a system folder.

They should work just fine in manual mode. I've tried to use my SB-600 on my Sigma DP-1 and it worked just fine in manual mode.

I was hoping someone could let me know if they have the Frank Sinatra 24x36 Think Different Poster. This is the one where he is standing in a grey suit in front of a mic and a music stand. Thank you for anyone's help!
I would try eBay. I see them every now and then. Anywhere from $89.00 to $200 is what they usually go for. Make sure you get one without any pinholes or lamination, I have seen those too. You want one that has been kept and will ship to you in a storage tube. Good luck!

That depends on the applications. Some applications broke in Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard for example, and shortly after 10.6 became publicly available at the end of August developers released updates for their Leopard compatible software to make it also run in Snow Leopard.
When Lion is finally released, it will have less incompatible applications anyway, as many developers and non-developers are testing 10.7 right now.

hello i jailbroke my ipod using spirit and it was good until i tried to update it! i updated it and itunes told me me you need to restore it and i tried that but all it said was it can not restore because of some unknown error (6) i tried ziphone to unlock it from recovery mode and ziphone could not recognize it!! please help
By the way you didn't tell us what you have. You might try TinyUmbrella for getting out of recovery mode.
I didn't have any trouble upgrading my ipt-3g from spirit-jailbroken 3.1.3 to 4.0 but of course that was a while ago using iTunes 10.0, I think. Maybe they have changed something more recently. But as far as I have heard, Apple loves people to upgrade the iOS on a jailbroken device, because then it isn't jailbroken anymore (at least for a while!).

The optimum configuration is A:4,4,0,0 B:2,2,1,1 as this places more equal amounts of memory on each riser.
Thank you Umbongo! That worked like a charm! Much appreciated!

I am not sure I understand. So you have to try to copy a file (Mac --> PC) to get access denied and that makes it possible for (PC --> Mac) to work when it didn't work before you got the access denied message. Also connecting works (Mac --> PC) fine without having to do anything elaborate.
Connecting (Mac --> PC) works for viewing files only? My setup worked fine when I made sure I was on the same wireless network, and opened up a port on the PC firewall, and started up Windows Sharing on the Mac side.
Also just a word of warning. People freak out when they see MAC or Apple (When refering to a Mac) instead of Mac. It might even be confusing for some networking folks since MAC means something different.
You have it mostly right, I'm sorry I wasn't more clear. Connecting Mac to PC works when I want to copy a file from the PC to the Mac, but if I try to do it the other way around it won't ever work. The only way that I can copy a file to my PC is to log onto my Mac as a network drive from the PC. But it will only allow me to connect as a network drive after I went through the whole access denied thing trying to copy a file to the PC from a Mac. And thanks for the tip on Mac terminology, I just became a convert.

So I have a bunch of movies in avi form that I have converted to watch on my ipad and that works great.
What settings should I use if I want to watch on DVD instead?
What if I want to connect my ipod or ipad to my TV and watch that way?
Once I convert the files using handbrake I then use popcorn to make my DVD.
I have know idea about this stuff and apologize in advance for sounding like an ass.
Thanks for your help.

I had a massage last night and this track was playing (Raindrops Into Rivers):
http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/raindrops-into-rivers/id286444386?i=286446161
But it's been REALLY bugging me. I'm sure I've heard it before, but where? I think I've heard it in a film or something? Or is it a cover of something else?

did you try to save the shsh blobs with tinyumbrella?
if you don't have shsh blobs saved your out of luck
As kvizzel alluded, it's an Apple signing error because they aren't signing 4.2.1 anymore. You HAVE to update because you don't have 4.2.1 blobs saved. There is no other option.

I dont see why they wont have FM radio on the 4G.... unless they want it to be unique to the Nano only.... but it would help compete against Zune....

Boot up to your install DVD and repair the disk from disk utility there.
You can find the steps to perform here (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417).
Will I loose any of my data on the HD doing that?

Typeface exempt, it looks like an Apple ad.
I used Myriad Pro, but I agree it still doesn't look right. dpaanlka's text was perfect.

Makes me wonder how Gates would respond to the following question:
"Would you trust a Windows machine with your life?"
I sure as **** would not. :D

Hey arn/Group -
Moments ago, I submitted my new project website to macbytes, which should hopefully get a lot of people to upload their library (not files, of course) to an online database I made.
I've created, kind of with dailytunes.com in mind, an XML dump you could hook into. Given a title, an artist or both, it returns lots of statistics, such as how popular the song is in real life, or how often it has been played. As the database grows, the stats I could mine from the data will also grow.
Hopefully, you'll find it useful, and i welcome your feedback.
