penzled,
I can't tell you definitively if it's your logic board or if it's a problem with some connector in your upper case that's gone awry and is sending incorrect signals to the logic board that identify a key press. What I can tell you though is that the repair is probably going to be expensive seeing as it's probably one of those two components. Unlike the non-unibody Macbooks, the keyboard is built into the upper case and replacing the upper case requires disassembly of the entire lower half of the machine.
You may want to take it into an Apple Store and see what they say about it. Or if you have already done that, what did they say?

Am moving right now to two different servers than the current server. Might not need 2 in the long run... things might be a little bumpy here and there as the transfers are done.
The connection is off of our server provider's which is usually a pretty heafty pipe. I don't know the terminology offhand.

I wouldn't, the quad G5's have major liquid coolant problems that can destroy the machine, if you have to stick with powerpc then get another air cooled dual G5 but an early core 2 duo Intel Mac would be infinitely more future proof.
Actually both machines 2.7 and Quad G5 are liquid cooled

I have two of them. Make an offer, good condition... a year or so old on the one, maybe, 6 mo on the other one.
Lemme know. I'll be in Portland in a day, Seattle in a week. More than welcome to meet up anywhere in between tomorrow or so.
Not my picture, but they look like this:

They come in apple boxes if that matters. woot

Hi all, I've a question about touch events in a view heirarchy:
I have a UIView object which has an on touch event attached. This has a sub view with another on touch event. When this subview is added to the main view I can override the touch event of the UIView behind it by either adding an event handler for the same event to the subview, or putting an 'point in frame' block in the main view. Both these methods work well.
However if I add a button to the subview and touch this, then the main view receives the touch event again. How can I stop this?
thanks,
kenneth

What are the smallest & cheapest digicams available for OS X? There are a million cheap-o, itty-bitty digitals for the Windoze world, and some work with OS X with the IOXperts USB driver, but which work natively?
I have a Philips Key 007 that works almost perfectly with X (a bit cranky about unmounting every now and then), but the shutter lag is horrendous, on the order of four or five seconds. The picture quality is crap, but that's to be expected for something the size of a pen drive.
Are there any others?

so its a hardware error. how unfortunate. if its still under warranty go to apple and get a replacement. if not n ur felling bold try replacing the dock connector, connector 4 inside the iphone. U can buy replacements on ebay for $10
First off, how do you figure it's a hardware error:confused:
Second, he can't take it in regardless if he just bought it last weekbaseband updated to 6.15.00.
Have you tried restoring to a different fw? Is your phone hacktivated?

Thanks for reply . It is obviously visible that the complaint is about 10.4 sdk
I was bit surprized by the error message having reference to 10.4 sdk but all the frameworks belong to to absolute path "/System/Library/Frameworks/***.framework"
(by clicking get Info button on individual frameworks)

Wow. I might try my luck in the early morning, but camping out overnight is not worth it to me. They will be freely available within a few weeks.

You should...
1) Back up your ipod so you cant lose any of your songs or paid apps
2) E-mail your photos to your netbook, restore, then re-jailbreak and use your netbook to E-mail yur pics back to your ipod wehere you can then select "save" from the E-mail.

It's very possible. But I guess with IBM powering the new Xbox 360 with the PowerPC cores (oh the irony) I guess they figured they didn't feel like talking him out of moving again.
I'm excited about the intel switch aside from one thing. I wanted to see a G5 Powerbook. Oh well.

Do AdrianK's second option!
If you do the first (copy the music from their library into your library) the each song file will be on your hard drive multiple times - if you have large music collections this can fill up a drive fast.
So, have everyone move their music library to the same folder and then change the location in iTunes (the way AdrianK said to). It might be a good idea to move all the artist folders (do it for each user, then continue), open iTunes (canceling any warnings about iTunes not finding you music files), highlight all your music (Ctrl+A), delete it (this should delete the entry from the library, not the actual file), and then change the music folder location as AdrianK mentioned. It should re-scan the all the files and add them back into the library. This should prevent duplicate entries in the library, where half the links would be broken.
I hope that helps.
Also, once everyone's music is consolidated, make sure and back it all up how ever you want to because...eventually...your computer WILL DIE.
